Yangga Dahgu – Mekem Gen: Reframing the Relationship Roadmap
The Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services acknowledges the traditional owners of the lands across Queensland. We recognise the enduring impacts of colonisation and associated intergenerational trauma, grief and loss, violence and abuse.
We commit to improving our responses to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families experiencing vulnerability.
Yangga Dahgu – Mekem Gen: Reframing the Relationship Roadmap establishes the department's roadmap to a reframed relationship with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders.
The Roadmap builds on the achievements of the department's Cultural Capability Action Plans and streamlines the department's other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategies, plans, actions and commitments.
