High school students
Do you have an interest in social science or humanities? Are you thinking about what you'd like to do when you leave school? Can you see yourself helping children and young people so they have the same opportunities to be the best they can be?
Our Child Safety Officers work with vulnerable families who are going through tough times. We do this by coordinating the right community services to help parents overcome their hardships so their children can grow up in stable and loving homes.
To become a Child Safety Officer, you'll need to go to university to obtain a bachelor level qualification. Some of the subjects you can study include:
- social work, psychology, child and family studies, behavioural science, social welfare
- social science, child protection, counselling, criminology, community services
- law, education, policing, health and nursing.
