Bhavna: I choose to be a Child Safety Officer.
Here’s why
Being in this role, I feel I’ve actually grown as a person because I’ve improved my skills in communication, being resilient and having empathy. Definitely, I’ve experienced self-growth — the department has allowed me to be who I am, and be the best I can in advocating for and protecting children.
Sam: I choose to be a Child Safety Officer.
Here’s why
For me it’s about seeing kids, despite their situation, being able to grow up happy and connected. It’s ensuring they get their wishes and views heard and making sure they get access to the opportunities they need to be whatever they want to be.
Kristy: I choose to be a Child Safety Officer.
Here’s why
Adults who have been hurt as children, sometimes they don’t have the support around them. They need somebody, to help them and to be there with them. I wanted to be that person.
