Implementing the Framework
The Queensland Government in consultation with people with disability and the disability sector are implementing the initial reforms identified in the Framework.
Queensland Disability Stakeholder Engagement and Co-Design Strategy
The Queensland Disability Stakeholder Engagement and Co-Design Strategy was developed by Queenslanders with Disability Network, in consultation with people with disability and the disability sector and released on 30 September 2024.
The strategy will ensure that people with disability, their families and supporters, and sector stakeholders are actively involved in designing, testing, and implementing important disability reforms under the Queensland Disability Reform Framework, including those arising from recommendations of the Disability Royal Commission and NDIS Review.
The strategy includes:
- a Disability Engagement and Co-design Hub to deliver collaboration and co-design activities, as well as to help build the capability of people with disability, the disability sector, and government agencies to engage in co-design.
- a new disability advisory body, including people with disability and sector stakeholders, who will work together to help prioritise reforms and provide advice to the Queensland Government.
Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN) will lead the delivery of the strategy in partnership with people with disability, other key peak organisations, the disability community and the Queensland Government.
Links to alternative accessible versions of the strategy will be available as soon as possible.
